Khushbu's Poem Entry #1

all the love in this limited space

i will hide you in my poetry

and let the silent sounds of my words on paper

subtlety sum you up

our secret is like a concealed package,

a locked up box only we can open.

look both ways before crossing.

only hold hands when no one is watching.

if not, show me you love me by the look in your eye,

the faint touch of my knee on your thigh

will be enough.

it is enough for me to share how miraculous you look in the mundane

with my little pen and paper

it is enough to pass notes through trusted friends in between classes

it is enough to hide in the girls bathroom after school,

holding hands and sharing secrets.

there is enough love to fill this tight closet with
